B. Village Manager’s Reports
1) Discussion and consideration regarding Maywood Chamber of Commerce permission for continued use of the Multipurpose Building that will run for 10 weeks beginning Tuesday, June 28, 2016 and ending Thursday, September 1, 2016.  This program is in cooperation with Westlake Hospital and the West Cook YMCA which will be offering a free fitness program to businessmen in the area.

2) Discussion and consideration regarding status report on 415 Roosevelt Road going through the Cook County No Cash Bid Program.This program is administered by the Cook County Department of Economic Development.  Acquisition of this integral parcels will allow the Village to move forward and have site control for future redevelopment within the Roosevelt Road Business Corridor.

3) Discussion and consideration to close the Village Hall (40 Madison Street) on Saturdays for the Water Collection Division.

4) Discussion concerning using $200,000 of the Rainy Day Fund for overlaying 13th Avenue in the Village of Maywood.

5) Discussion and consideration to begin the Community Emergency Response Team to start Recruitment Process.  The CERT Initiative educates and trains residents about disaster preparedness for hazards that threaten to impact the areas which they reside. This Community Emergency Response Team presentation will be presented by Craig Bronaugh, Fire Chief for the Village of Maywood.

6) Discussion and consideration pursuant to Maywood Police Department/Proposal No. 7 to discuss the new laws requiring cities and villages with specific populations to consolidate 9-1-1 Dispatch Systems and regarding Senate Bill 0096/Public Act 99-0006.

7) Consideration for submission to recognize three (3) officers (Detective Randy Brown, Officer Ramon Ochoa and Officer Sergio Cordoba) who distinguished themselves during community service in the Village of Maywood.

1) A Resolution approving and authorizing the execution of a Lease of Property (Industrial Lease – Unimproved – Year to Year) between Village of Maywood and Union Pacific Railroad for New Commuter Parking Lot (Proposed 27 Space Commuter Parking Lot: East of 5th Avenue, South of Main Street within the Union Pacific Railroad’s right-of way, adjacent to the North side of the Union Pacific Railroad tracks in Maywood, Illinois).
