A Bellwood woman is the victim of a murder-suicide that happened on May 22 in Woodridge, according to multiple reports. April Pryor, 24, was seven months pregnant when she was fatally shot by her husband, 32-year-old Shedrick Pryor.
According to a May 24 report in My Suburban Life, Woodridge police responded to a report of shots fired at 11:57 p.m.
When they arrived at the home, they found the married couple “in the living room with what appeared to be fatal gunshot wounds, [a Woodridge police news release stated]. Officers then located a second woman in the rear of the residence with a non-fatal gunshot wound.”
“The preliminary investigation shows Shedrick Pryor arrived late May 22 to the residence with a handgun and forced his way inside. An argument ensued, during which he shot his wife and the other occupant of the apartment before killing himself, the release stated.”
Shedrick and April Pryor lived on the 600 block of Bellwood Avenue, the newspaper reports; however, April “had relocated to the Fox Drive address several days ago, following a domestic dispute, according to the release.”
A GoFundMe page has apparently been created by a family member to pay for the funeral services of the married couple.
