The Broadview Aldi, located at 1001 Cermak Rd., will open its doors for the first time on Wednesday since undergoing extensive renovations.
The store renovations are part of Aldi’s national plan to invest $1.6 billion in improving and expanding more than 1,300 stores in the United States within three years. Roughly $180 million of that national investment will go into 130 stores in the Chicago area.
On Sept. 12, Aldi hosted a hiring fair. The company is seeking to fill 300 positions in this region, with starting wages ranging from $11.75 to $13.50. Those positions include store associate, shift manager and manager trainee, among others. Those interested in applying online for those positions can click here.
Store officials will mark the grand reopening of the Broadview location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Sept. 13, at 8:25 a.m., followed by a gift card giveaway to the first 100 shoppers, who will receive “golden tickets” of varying amounts; an eco-friendly bag giveaway and free product samples.
They’ll also have a chance to enter a sweepstakes, the winner of which will receive produce for a year. VFP
