Stone Park Man Charged With First-Degree Murder of Ex, 4-year-old Son

One man has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder after confessing to strangling and stabbing his ex-girlfriend and their 4-year-old son inside of his Stone Park home last Thursday night.

Daniel Barraza, 32, of Stone Park, told police that he murdered Miriam Cruz Hurtado, 31, and their young son, Corbin Dallas Barraza, “with his hands and an electrical cord and stabbed [Hurtado] multiple times in the back,” according to a CBS Chicago report.
