Enjoy Wacky Wednesdays

On Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., visit the Melrose Park Public Library, 801 N. Broadway, for Wacky Wednesdays. Read, learn, and play in crazy and unpredictable ways. We will have different activities each month. Registration Required. (Limit 25, MPPL card holders have first priority) Ages 7-12.

Write an essay to win a free bike or car

Want to win a car or a children’s bike in time for the holidays? Qualify for a chance to win either item by writing to the West Suburban Community Development Corporation why you need a car or, if your child has never owned a bike, why they would love one for Christmas. Submit your story now at wscdc17.org.

Winners must be present at a giveaway on Saturday, Dec. 9, 6 p.m., at Miracle Revival Cathedral, 2010 St. Charles Rd. in Maywood. For more info, call (708) 865-2999.

  1. I hope that the residents of Maywood attend this town hall meeting this Tuesday at the village hall to discuss the business expansion. You guys have the right to voice your concern. Please knock on your neighbor’s door, help spread the word out about this Tuesday’s public hearing, and write down your “public comment” to let your voice be heard. There should be no excuses why you can’t attend this meeting.
