Woman Who Fled Maywood Mental Health Center Still on the Run

The Cook County Sheriff’s office recently announced that a 35-year-old woman is on the run after fleeing from an ambulance that was parked at Madden Mental Health Center, 1200 S. 1st Ave. in Maywood, on Dec. 7.

Sheriff’s officers said that Jimmiea Boushan was last seen going northbound toward Roosevelt Road at around 6 p.m. on Dec. 7. According to officers, the woman unstrapped herself from a gurney in the ambulance and fled.

Authorities describe Boushan as a 5-foot-5, 215-pound African American woman who was last seen in a gray and black snowflake sweatshirt, a black coat, black pants and a black hat.

Law enforcement said that the woman is a danger to herself and others and that people should not approach her. Rather, anyone with information on her whereabouts should call their local police department or the sheriff’s office at (708) 865-4896. VFP

  1. I hope that the police and the Proviso Township community collaborate and find Ms. Boushan, and turn her back to the Maywood Mental Health Center. Let us hope that she gets the necessary help she needs.
