Three people were wounded during a shooting outside of Avenue 23, a Bellwood bar located at 2305 St. Charles Rd., in Bellwood, according to a CBS Chicago report.
The incident happened at around 2 a.m., according to Bellwood Mayor Andre Harvey. The bar had been hosting a “Souled Out” event.
The incident started from an argument between two groups of people who started fighting inside of the establishment before bar employees asked them to leave, Harvey told the news outlet.
“It was not immediately clear how many people fired weapons, but there were at least 29 evidence markers on the ground outside Avenue 23,” CBS reports. “Police have not said what prompted the argument, or If anyone was in custody.”
