Melrose Park Man, Accomplice In Home Invasion, Killed In Chicago Jan. 31

A Melrose Park man was shot in the head during an attempted home invasion on Jan. 31 in which he was an alleged accomplice, according to multiple media reports. The incident happened at around 9:51 p.m., in Chicago’s Lincoln Square neighborhood.

According to a Chicago Tribune report, 43-year-old Luis Antonio Morales, of the 10500 block of West Grand Avenue, was shot in the head by his accomplice after the man started firing shots toward the front porch of the home they were attempting to break into. The two suspects had reportedly seen some people at the front door of the home.

Morales was pronounced dead on the scene and no one inside the house was injured, according to reports. Police are still looking for the shooter. VFP
