According to a CBS Chicago report, “Bellwood police say two stolen vehicles were recovered in a Tuesday evening traffic stop on the eastbound Eisenhower Tuesday, which in turn backed up rush-hour traffic.

Officials with the Bellwood Police Department told reporters that a carjacking happened at around 5 p.m. on Feb. 6 at the new Thorntons gas station in Bellwood, at the corner of 25th Ave. and Harrison.

The “carjackers took off on the eastbound Eisenhower,” CBS reports, adding that local and state police stopped the vehicle at 1st Ave.

CBS added that “Bellwood police say another stolen car also was stopped at First Avenue; that car was reportedly stolen out of Chicago” and that “four people were arrested — one juvenile and three adults.”
