Maywood Man Gets 16-year Prison Term For Weapon Charges In DuPage County

A Maywood man was recently sentenced to 16 years in prison on Feb. 15 after he pleaded guilty to “two counts of illegal possession of a firearm by a street gang member,” according to the Chicago Tribune and multiple other media outlets.

Michael H. Jones, 32, of the 1000 block of South 16th St., in Maywood, was charged in 2013 after local police, during a traffic stop, discovered that he had a semi-automatic pistol.
