Bellwood celebrates Black History Month

On Sunday, Feb. 25, at least 200 people gathered at the Eisenhower Community Center in Hillside to celebrate Black History Month with Bellwood residents, businesses, students and seniors.

Maywood ballet dancers get special visit

On Feb. 19, Maywood Fine Arts dancers were visited by Zhong-Jing Fang from American Ballet Theatre. Fang—whose visit was hosted by Cook County Commissioner Richard Boykin (1st) — stopped by the Stairway of the Stars Dance Studio on Fifth Avenue to give an inspiring talk to, and to work with, MFA’s ballet dancers as they prepare for their performance of Swan Lake on March 23 and March 24.
