According to multiple reports, an ambulance crash in Bellwood on March 31 has left three people dead.
The crash happened at around 3:45 p.m., near 28th Ave. and Washington Blvd., when the driver of the vehicle lost control, police told reporters.
“Authorities say the ambulance driver and a patient were killed in the incident. An ambulance attendant was critically injured,” according to an ABC 7 report. A Chicago Tribune article published later reported that all three passengers were killed.
Police say the driver lost control of the ambulance around 3:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon and ran into the G.J. Nikolas building at 28th Avenue and Washington Boulevard.
This incident is still under investigation.
