Maywood Police Arrest Man Who Allegedly Sold Drugs Near School

Maywood police have arrested a man who was caught allegedly selling drugs near a school in the village.

Jarvar C. Robinson, 20, was arrested on Friday at around 6:09 a.m. during a police operation at 626 S. 12th Ave. in Maywood — less than a block away from Washington Dual Language Academy.

Law enforcement officials seized 120 grams of cannabis, 12 ecstasy pills and $1,512 dollars from the home, according to a statement released by Maywood Police Commander Elijah Willis.

Robinson was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.

Robinson was scheduled to appear in bond court on Saturday morning. VFP
