A leading maker of universal joints and specialized mechanical products recently announced that it had completed the process of moving its headquarters from Broadview to Hillside.

Belden Universal, which was once located at 2500 Braga Drive in Broadview, started construction on a new, 40,000-square-foot factory at 4100 Madison St. in Hillside last year.

In a statement released last June, Belden officials said that the move to the larger facility was necessary to accommodate the company’s growth over the last two decades.

“We are extremely proud to move into our new building in the very near future,” stated Perry Sainati, Belden Universal’s president, back then.

“The larger, modern facility,” he said, “will allow us to continue delivering highly innovative products and quality service to our customers and provide an improved work environment to our employees.”

In a statement released on April 17, Sainati said his employees “employees enjoy their new work space and amenities which give a boost to both our creative and technical capabilities.”

The new factory, company officials noted in last week’s statement, “accommodates leading-edge manufacturing technologies, lean equipment layout and automated workflow.” VFP
