The driver of an ambulance that crashed in Bellwood on March 31, killing three people, the driver included, had cocaine in his bloodstream, according to an ABC7 I-Team report.
The driver, James Wesley, 51, of Chicago, reportedly lost control of the vehicle while driving on Washington Boulevard in the afternoon before he crashed into the G.J. Nikolas building at 28th Avenue and Washington Boulevard.
The other victims in the crash included Larry Marshall, 48, of Bellwood — who was a patient — and Prentis Williams, 50, of Chicago. Williams was also an EMT.
