The Triton College Faculty Association recently voted for a contract agreement that will give full-time faculty members a 2 percent annual pay increase over three years — half the 4 percent annual raise the union had initially sought, according to a Chicago Tribune report.
Joe Dusek, the association’s president and a math professor at the college, told the Tribune that 69 of the roughly 100 faculty members eligible to vote on the agreement did so. Forty-nine were in favor of the contract while 20 were against it, the Tribune reported.
Triton’s board is scheduled to consider approving the contract at a meeting on Aug. 28. Read the complete Tribune story here. VFP
