Man Faces Charges Related To Shooting Of Broadview Man In June

One man is in custody and faces charges in relation to the shooting of a Broadview man back in June, according to a statement released by the Maywood Police Department on Monday.

According to police, Leonard Turner was charged with aggravated battery on Aug. 1 for the June 6 shooting of Lloyd Brown, of Broadview.

“Maywood investigators working with the U.S. Marshal’s Great Lakes Task Force were able to apprehend Leonard Turner, who also had multiple outstanding warrants in other jurisdictions,” Maywood Lt. Dennis Diaz noted in the statement.

Turner is currently in custody on a $25,000 dollar bond, police said. VFP

  1. I second Chevey’s comment: Only $25,000? I hope the bail was $250,000 and the $25,000 was the 10% he had to come up with.
