Man Wins $1M Lottery After Buying Ticket At Melrose Park Deli

A Chicago man instantly became a millionaire after buying a winning lottery ticket at a Melrose Park deli last month, according to an ABC 7 report.

Luis Rivera, who bought his lucky ticket at Ozzie’s Liquor and Deli, 11158 Grand Ave. in Melrose Park, told officials with the Illinois Lottery that he didn’t believe it when he discovered that “he’d won $1 million on Million Dollar Payday scratch ticket,” ABC 7 reports.

According to ABC 7, Ozzie’s will “get a bonus of $10,000 – 1 percent of the prize – for selling the $5 ticket.”
