A man who was on parole after being convicted of conspiring to murder a Maywood teenager back in 2011 was recently charged with arson in Romeoville, according to a report in the Romeoville Patch.
Darrius M. Ferguson, 24, was arrested in Romeoville on Sept. 4 and “faces new charges of arson and violating his parole, a little over a year after he was released from prison,” Patch reports.
In 2011, when Ferguson was 17, Ferguson “was charged along with three other teens and a 20-year-old man in the death of 17-year-old Demetrius Delacy, who was gunned down “just steps from his home,” according to the Chicago Tribune.”
The murder happened on the 1000 block of South 14th Ave., the Tribune reported at the time.
