The Lake County Sheriff’s Office recently announced on its Facebook page that it is currently looking for a missing teenager who was previously located in Maywood.

Alexandra Kobus was last seen leaving a Walmart in Gurnee on Sept. 20, at around 4:45 a.m. Surveillance images of the teenager show her exiting the store with a woman who the sheriff’s office confirmed is not related to the incident.

“Alexandra is 13 years old, 5’8, approximately 170 pounds,” the Lake County Sheriff’s office explained. “She has light brown/red hair and brown eyes. Alexandra was last seen wearing a black/white Adidas jacket, a red Bulls shirt, ripped jeans, and black/white Nike shoes. She had a brown Michael Kors backpack.”

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone with information on the incident, or who recognizes Kobus, to contact its Criminal Investigations Division at (847) 549-5200.
