A church in Maywood was robbed and vandalized on Oct. 12, according to an ABC 7 news report.

Paster Emanuel Little of Salem Tabernacle Church, 1101 S. 6th Ave. in Maywood, said that when he entered the church Friday morning he “literally just almost collapsed,” according to the report.

Maywood police said that between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Friday someone entered the church and tried to desecrate it.

“Every wall in the church’s basement was covered in graffiti using Allah, the Muslim word for God,” ABC reports.

Little said that the church’s camera and piano equipment were stolen, and the windows and front door were shattered.

Maywood Police are currently investigating the incident and no one is in custody. Read the full ABC 7 story hereVFP
