There’s a lot happening in Proviso Township this week. Below is just a small sample of those big events:
Discuss The Hate U Give
On Monday, Nov. 5, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Bellwood Public Library, 600 Bohland Ave. in Bellwood, Shades of Fiction Book Club will host a librarian-led discussion of The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. The novel is about the fallout that happens after a 16-year-old African American girl witnessed police shoot her best friend. The novel was recently turned into a film, which is currently in theaters.
On Tuesday, Nov. 6, the Gubernatorial Election will be held. For information on voting, visit cookcountyclerk.com/agency/elections or call (312) 603-6566.
