A water main break has left some residents in Maywood without water. Maywood public works employees are currently working on the break, which happened on the 1000 block of South 2nd Avenue in Maywood.

John West, the village’s public works director, said that the department discovered the break at around 5:30 a.m. on Monday. He said that properties along 2nd Avenue, from Madison to Harrison, could be affected. That’s roughly eight blocks.

West did not specify how many homes could be without water and he could not say how long it would take for workers to repair the break. VFP
