Five School Board Candidates In D89, D92 Face Challenges

Five of the 15 candidates running for open seats on the Districts 88, 89, 92 and 209 school boards are facing objections to their nominating papers, according to Cook County Clerk’s office records.

Carla Joiner-Herrod, an incumbent on the Lindop District 92 school board, is facing an objection, along with non-incumbents Brian Dawson, Aaron K. Hannah and Priscilla Garrett. Rev. Darryl Bass, who is running for Maywood-Melrose Park-Broadview District 89 school board, also faces an objection to his nominating papers.
