A man in the custody of the Melrose Park Police Department died on Sunday, according to media reports.
On Jan. 1, ABC 7 Chicago reported that Melrose Park police released a statement announcing that Tyrone Olmetti, 58, had been discovered in the department’s detention room “less than an hour after being taken into custody Sunday.
“Olmetti was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was being held on a violation of an order of protection.”
The Illinois State Police is currently investigating the cause of death, ABC 7 reported. VFP
