Bellwood Library To Host Community Coffee With New Director Jan. 16

Area residents will be able to meet the new executive director of the Bellwood Public Library, 600 Bohland Ave., during a Coffee with the Director event on Jan. 16, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the library’s lower-level meeting room.

Back in November, the library board voted unanimously to hire Amy Crump, a former administrative librarian at Homewood Public Library, to replace the old director, Jacqueline Spratt, who had resigned.

Crump said that the coffee meet-and-greet will be an opportunity for residents to talk to her and tell her what they want to see in their local library.

“I want to make the Bellwood Public Library world-class,” Crump said. “This coffee is an opportunity for the community to tell me what they want, because I can’t make it world-class without them.” VFP
