A store in Proviso Township was one of two that sold a winning Lucky Day Lotto ticket in the Jan. 9, midday drawing.
The two winners will split the $250,000 jackpot, with each receiving $125,000 each, said officials, who indicated that the winners still may not have claimed the tickets.
“If you bought a Lucky Day Lottoticket in Westchester or Sterling, you may want to check it right away!
“Both tickets matched all five numbers – 23 – 25 – 35 – 39 – 43 – to win the jackpot. Each retailer will receive a bonus of $1,250, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling one of the winning tickets.”
In the statement, Illinois Lottery urged the winners to “sign the back of their tickets and keep them in a safe place until they visit one of the Lottery’s five Prize Centers in Chicago, Des Plaines, Rockford, Springfield or Fairview Heights. Winners have one year from the original drawing date to claim their prize.” VFP
