On Wednesday, June 19, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Proviso East High School, 807 S. 1st Ave. in Maywood, several Illinois agencies will partner to host the Summit of Hope community expo.
The expo brings together local service providers to create a “one-stop” environment for invited parolees and probationers to obtain necessary assistance to move past barriers, which may prevent an individual from leading a successful life.
“The Summit of Hope gives men and women the tools they need to be responsible, law-abiding members of our community,” Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC) acting director Rob Jeffreys said.
