Man Found Shot In Maywood Forest Preserve Later Pronounced Dead

A Maywood man was found dead in the Forest Preserve at First Avenue and Des Plaines in Maywood on Sept. 5, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

According to a CBS 2 report, the man had a gunshot wound and was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 2:15 p.m.

The medical examiner’s office later identified the man as Johnny Flores, 29, of Maywood.

“Maywood police and Cook County Forest Preserve police were investigating Thursday evening,” CBS 2 reports. VFP
