A juvenile is in critical condition at Loyola University Medical Center after an afternoon shooting in Maywood, according to authorities.
The shooting happened at around 4 p.m. on Aug. 30 on the 600 block of 11th Ave. in Maywood, said Maywood Police Chief Val Talley. The identity of the victim, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, has not been revealed.

One man was killed and another man was wounded during a shooting on the 400 block of 24th Ave. in Bellwood, according to a WGN 9 report.
The two men were sitting on their porch at around 9 p.m. on Aug. 28 when a group of people walked up to them and started shooting, police said.

A woman who was being investigated in connection to a Grayslake house fire committed suicide by jumping from a parking garage outside of Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood on Aug. 24, according to multiple reports.
The woman, identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office as 64-year-old Deborah St. Antoine-Brown, had spoken with investigators about the house fire just hours before her death.

Oliver L. Rhone, a 37-year-old resident of Glendale Heights, was charged with first-degree murder in relation to the shooting death of Quentin Tillison, also 37, who authorities say lived in Maywood before moving to Schaumburg recently.
The shooting happened at around 5:15 p.m. on Monday in the parking lot of a Schaumburg Walgreens, according to Schaumburg Police. Rhone reportedly told authorities and witness that he acted out of self-defense.

A former resident of Maywood was fatally shot in the parking lot of a Walgreens drugstore in Schaumburg, where the man had recently moved. The shooting happened at around 5:15 p.m. on Aug. 14, the Daily Herald reports.
The victim, 37-year-old Quentin D. Tillison, was pronounced dead at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge just after 2 a.m. on Aug. 15. The Herald cites local authorities and the Cook County medical examiner’s office, which ruled the death a homicide.

Bryant Cameron, a Broadview resident who worked as a porter at Epic Motorsports, an auto dealership in Rosemont, has been charged with arson after he allegedly started a fire that resulted in extensive damage to the business’s automobiles and office equipment, according to a U.S. Justice Department statement released on Aug. 2.
