Saturday’s snow storm dumped up to 9 inches on the Chicago area, halting plans and barricading some people in their homes. The weather, however, was gleefully anticipated by Bellwood resident Connie Riales, who used the snow fall on Jan. 19 to launch her new community service initiative.

Bellwood Library Hires Search Firm To Find New Executive Director

The Bellwood Public Library Board of Trustees has started the search for a new executive director with the selection of John Keister & Associates — a head hunting firm based in Vernon Hills that specializes in finding library executives.

Bellwood Library Director To Resign

The executive director of the Bellwood Public Library has announced that she plans on resigning. During a phone interview on March 28, Jacqueline Spratt said that she verbally informed Dorothy Clark-Smith, the library board president, of her intentions today.
