County Tax Rates Released, Tax Bills Due Aug. 1

Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas announced on June 19 that property owners in the county can view their property tax bills online more than a week before paper copies are scheduled to be mailed out at the beginning of July. Tax bills are due on Aug. 1.

Proviso Among First Suburban Cook County Townships To Get New Voting Machines

Brand new voting machines are coming to Proviso Township in time for the April 2 Consolidated Election. Cook County Clerk Karen Yarbrough announced that Proviso is one of three townships in suburban Cook County where the new machines will be piloted on Election Day.
