The Cook County Department of Public Health will hold a free Sexually Transmitted Infection testing event next week. The event comes several months after public health officials, along with a range of community leaders, met in Maywood to discuss the high STI rates of Proviso Township young people.

Some Proviso Suburbs Lead Suburban Cook In Sexually Transmitted Infections

The villages of Bellwood, Broadview, Maywood and Melrose Park have some of the highest chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis infections in all of suburban Cook County, according to data released by the Cook County Department of Public Health this summer.

County’s Free Lead Paint Inspections Program Open To Maywood Homeowners
