The funerals of Dean Stansberry, 38, and Yarnell M. White, 30, both of Maywood, were held over the weekend. The two men were fatally shot on July 30 on the 1200 block of South 13th Ave.

Vigil Planned Sept. 30 for Teen Murdered in Maywood

Mothers of Murdered Sons (MOMS), a local support group for grieving parents who have lost children to violence, is planning a vigil for slain 14-year-old Michael Israel Jones, who was fatally shot multiple times on Aug. 30 while walking in Maywood.
