MAYWOOD || About 50 people gathered yesterday evening at the First Congregational Church, 400 N. 5th Avenue, to celebrate Neighbors of Maywood Community Organization (NOMCO)’s annual holiday party. The event was planned by NOMCO’s vice president Gary Woll. NOMCO’s president, Lennel Grace, emceed the gathering, which included various local government officials, community leaders, businesspeople and interested residents. VFP

Neighbors of Maywood Communiy Organization Meeting Tonight, Thursday, October 9th, 7 PM

The monthly meeting for Neighbors of Maywood Community Organization (NOMCO) is scheduled to take place tonight at El Prado Restaurant, 612 Lake Street, Maywood, IL. Tonight’s meeting will be hosted by David Lopez. NOMCO’s nonprofit status, the newsletter and membership applications will be up for discussion, among other matters.

The speaker tonight will be NOMCO president Lennel Grace, who will be discussing ‘Maywood: An Evolving Community Demographically and Opportunity for Positive Change and Growth.’ Next month’s speaker will be Maywood Police Chief Vladimir Talley. All are welcome. Please bring a guest!

NOMCO is one of the oldest, most respected civic organizations in Maywood and is focused on enhancing the quality of life in the village by focusing on areas such as beautification, historic preservation and social cohesion. VFP

NoMCO Holiday Party and Toy Drive, Sunday, December 15, 2013

NoMCO (Neighbors Of  Maywood Community Organization) Cordially Invites You to Our ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY/TOY DRIVE and GIFT EXCHANGE, December 15 2013-7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Kathy’s Cafe (9 N. 5th Avenue, Maywood IL). Live Entertainment will be featured. This event is a Pot luck style event. The organization is asking members to bring a side dish. B.Y.O.B (Beer & Wine). All attendees are encouraged to bring a white elephant gift valued between $15-$20 for the gift exchange, in addition to an unwrapped toy for the toy drive.
