This year, the total number of Forest Park District 91 students who went on to enroll at Proviso Township High Schools District 209 increased for the first time in at least five years, according to data provided by D209.

During a regular meeting on March 12, the Proviso Township High Schools District 209 school board voted to approve the hiring of a new assistant superintendent/chief school business officer — roughly two months after the person who was previously hired in the position abruptly withdrew his name from consideration.

D209 Official Wants To Form New Middle School Sports Program

Elementary and high school officials in Proviso Township are seriously considering the creation of a middle school sports program that would allow fifth- through eighth-grade students from all of D209’s feeder schools the opportunity to compete against one another.
